Any plan can go awry

So I had planned on blogging as often as I could regarding different home ideas and plans for my new renovations as well as ways to reuse and recycle - indeed any way to save money, but plans went awry due to a death in my family, and I needed to spend my time away from the computer and in the arms of my husband and children.

As the sorrow does not go away the heart does heal and so as I return to my usual workload and life I plan on starting this blog again, as I had wanted to a month ago.

In the past few weeks the building loan was approved and now - after many emails and yelling and screaming at the bank - we are now waiting for the builders to get back to us with the Council approval. This was meant to take another 2 weeks (which is almost up) so we'll see how it goes.

I am very keen on getting visual ideas and so I am often looking at ideas on Pinterest. If you are not already member, I suggest you join if you are after ideas that won't cost a lot of money.

I have several boards, for the different ideas I come across, these are just like mini post-it notes of ideas, I might not like the entire scene or even the colour, but sometimes how things are grouped together gives me inspiration.

On another note while I remember. I am also trying to get back into healthy eating too. I exercise well, and until today was doing at least one hour every day. Now that I am back at work, we will see how it goes. I am being positive.  Breakfast today was a diet shake (Aldi brand ones are cheap and quite nice, just add extra water and ice cubes if you find it a little thick), lunch was a Greek salad with low fat feta. Dinner is Chicken Cacciatore (no pasta for the adults - just the kids).  My biggest downfall is portion size and my love of wine. Portion size is now being cut down and wine.... oh wine.... why do you hurt me so bad. I am going to try. I've not had a wine for two days. Let's see how long I can keep this run on.

Well, I am signing off for now. I will add photos where possible in future posts and hopefully show how the house renovations get along. It is going to be a very exciting year!
